PSU DuBois lose opening game of season

The Penn State DuBois Lady Lions dropped their season opener to visiting Westmoreland County Community College by the score of 65-54.

The game saw five lead changes with PSUD leading by one, when WCCC went on a 23-2 run midway through the second half.  DuBois countered with a 16-6 run of their own in the last five minutes but it wasn't enough to catch the (4-0) Wolfpack.

DuBois was lead by Mary Pillot (Bald Eagle Area) 16 points and Kristy Hanes (Elk County Catholic) 15 points.  Juli Vokes (Brockway) scored 9 points and hauled in 7 rebounds for the Lady Lions.

Penn State DuBois returns to action on Saturday against Carlow University in the opening round of the Penn State Beaver Tip-Off Tournament.

The next home game for PSUD will be December 6th at 1pm  when they host Penn State York in conference play.
