Hitting – Toner Corl (Central Mountain) led the way from the plate today with his 2nd home run of the year coming in the 4th inning to break the 2-2 tie. Corl's home run scored Garrett Brown (DuBois) to put DuBois up, 4-2. Clayton Butler (Central Mountain) and Vincent McDowell (West Branch) each had a double in the game.
Pitching – Adam Armstrong (Bellefonte) pitched a solid 4 and 1/3 innings of work, giving up 6 hits. Armstrong showed efficiency with his pitches as he threw 47 strikes out of his 66 pitches. Justin Orlowski (Grove City), Jake Sorbera (Clearfield), Thomas Plummer (Clarion), and Bryce Hanley (Central Mountain) all came in for relief to allow only 2 hits among them in 3 and 2/3 innings worked. Corl would came in to get the save in the 9th inning, striking out 2 of the 4 batters he faced.
DuBois would win the game 4-3 to take the 3 game series sweep of Greater Allegheny.
