Penn State DuBois gets their 100th win since the program started back up 4 years ago. Coach Calliari has been at the helm all 4 years, including this 4th straight regular season PSUAC Championship and last year's World Series Championship Title.
Game 1:
Hitting – A pair of home runs from Lance Pennington (Punxsutawney) and Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney) the Penn State DuBois baseball team drove in 12 runs on 17 hits. Stouffer had 3 hits with 3 RBI's, and Garrett Brown (DuBois) also had 3 hits and 3 RBI's.
Pitching – Brandon Orsich (Clearfield) got the start, and the win from the mound tonight. Orsich went 5 innings, giving up 5 hits and 4 runs. Thomas Plummer (Clarion) came in relief for the final 2 innings of play, striking out 3 of the 10 batters he faced.
Game 2:
Hitting – Jonathan Thomas (Highlands) hit a home run in the bottom of the 5th to lift DuBois to a 10-1 lead. Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney) and Joey Dipietro (Punxsutawney) both hit doubles, and both had 2 RBI's in the game.
Pitching – Toner Corl (Central) started the game on the mound for DuBois, and went 4 innings giving up only 1 run on 3 hits. Justin Orlowski (Grove City) came in for the final 2 innings of relief, giving up only 1 hit in 7 batters faced.
