Bio
Scott Creighton is entering his fifth season as Head Coach of the Penn State DuBois Men’s and Women’s Cross Country programs, and the team outlook has never been higher.
Under his leadership, PSUD Cross Country is showing steady growth every year—both individually and as a team. The 2024-2025 season marked a historic breakthrough: the men’s squad stormed to victory at the Roaring Lion Invitational at PSU Fayette, led by Jack Craig’s outstanding runner-up finish. At the PSUAC Invitational in Scranton, Jack Craig, David Kunselman, and Nick Hayes all cracked the top 10, cementing PSUD as a team to watch. The season reached its pinnacle when Jack Craig became Penn State DuBois’ first-ever First Team All-American, taking 6th place at the USCAA National Championship.
In 2023-2024, Rebecca Martin made headlines by shattering the course record en route to winning the LaRoche Invitational, then backed it up with a runner-up finish at the PSUAC Conference Invitational. Hailey Theuret added to the momentum with a 4th-place finish, while Martin came heartbreakingly close to All-American status, placing 15th in the USCAA Women’s Division. Nick Hayes also made his mark, finishing 5th at the PSUACs and placing in the top 25 nationally.
Coach Creighton credits the program’s success to relentless recruiting and a clear vision: “We focus on recruiting the top runners from District 9 and the surrounding areas with the vision of assembling a team that will compete at both the conference and national levels.”
