PSU DuBois Falls to Penn State Greater Allegheny
The PSU DuBois Lady Lions dropped a 71-61 decision to conference rival Penn State Greater Allegheny on Tuesday. PSUD, playing great first half defense and held the lead the whole first half. PSUD went into half time with a 33-29 lead. In a see-saw second half, GA went on a 10-0 run late in the fourth quarter to pull out the win against visiting PSUD.
"We played very well for 35 minutes tonight. Unfortunately, we lost our focus for a few minutes defensively and it cost us the win," stated PSUD coach Pat Lewis. "The young ladies are working hard and we are looking to finish the season strong."
PSUD was lead by Ashley Brown (Otto Eldred) with 16 points and 5 rebounds while Kristen Williams (Eisenhower) also hit double figures with 11 points.
PSUD returns to action on Friday as they travel to Penn State Fayette with a 6:00 p.m. tip-off.
