Lady Lions Defeat Central Penn College
The PSUD Lady Lions hit the road and picked up another non-conference win to improve to 9-3 against an improving Central Penn team. Final score of the contest was 64-35. Melody Young (Otto Eldred) led all scorers with 17 points and 9 rebounds. She was joined in double figures by Kristen Williams (Eisenhower) 12 points and Hope Bridge (Punxsutawney) 11 points and 9 rebounds. Kaelyn Gruver (Redbank Valley) hauled in 8 rebounds while Grace Earle (Cowanesque Valley) and Ashley Brown (Otto Eldred) pulled down 7 and 6 boards.
Kristy Hanes (Elk County) hit for 7 points while handing out a career high 9 assists. Juli Vokes (Brockway) contributed 6 points and 3 rebounds while Kashius Harris (Beaver Falls) led the defense with a team high 5 steals and 4 rebounds.
PSUD will host Pitt-Titusville on Monday night, January 9, 2017 for another non-conference clash. Game time 5:00.
