PSUD women defeat Wilkes-Barre
The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team earned a 65-41 decision against Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Friday night. Wilkes-Barre and DuBois both finished the first quarter with 16 points but it was all PSUD from that point on. PSUD rallied behind a very strong defensive effort to gain control of the game in the second quarter. The Dubois women held Wilkes Barre to just one field goal and three total points in the second quarter to open the game up 35-19 at halftime.
PSUD was led by four players in double figures, Melody Young (Otto Eldred) 15 points and a career high 17 rebounds, Hope Bridge (Punxsutawney) 12 points, Kristen Williams (Eisenhower) 11 points, and Grace Earle (Cowanesque Valley) added 10 points.
