The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team travelled to PSU Mont Alto this weekend for their final conference game before the break.
In the first quarter DuBois got a big lift offensively from Lexey Shick (Rimersburg, PA) who dropped in 8, and grabbed 3 boards. Mont Alto took advantage of the home crowd, and took the first quarter, 21-16. Malliah Schreck (Emlenton, PA) stepped up for DuBois in the second quarter with 8 points and 3 rebounds to keep DuBois close going into the locker room only down 8.
DuBois came out in the third quarter with a balanced attack both offensively and defensively as they took the lead by the end of the quarter, going up by 4. Continuing their attack, DuBois took over for good, continuing their scoring dominance. DuBois took the game with a final of 81-67 to go 4-2 in the PSUAC headed into the break.
Schreck ended with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Shick finished with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists. DuBois defese held Mont Alto to just 34%shooting from the field, and caused 19 turnovers.
