The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team played their final regular season game of the year this Friday evening against host school, PSU Greater Allegheny.
DuBois went down by 1 point at the end of the first quarter, but by halftime had taken the lead, and extended it to 8 points. By the half way mark, Malliah Schreck (Emlenton, PA) already had her signature double – double wrapped up with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Cierra O'Shell (Glendale, PA) had 11 points and 6 rebounds of her own by the break as well.
DuBois would keep control of the lead thanks to their aggressive defense that held Greater Allegheny to just under 7% shooting from the 3-point line, ad win the game with a 69-58 final.
Schreck would finish the game with 21 points and 26 rebounds, and O'Shell would close out the game with her own double – double with 16 points, 11 rebounds. Leah Lindemuth (Brockway, PA) added 10 points and 9 rebounds.
The Lady Lions of DuBois are set to go on the road this Tuesday for the first round of the PSUAC playoffs to face PSU Fayette.
