Creighton boasts more than 38 years of coaching basketball, spanning from elementary levels to NCAA Division I college teams. Before joining the PSUD campus, he was the Head Boys Basketball coach at DuBois Area High School. During his tenure at DuBois, Creighton achieved over 100 victories and led the Beavers to their first D9 League and PIAA District IX championships in 25 years.

Before his time at DuBois, he dedicated 10 years to coaching at the collegiate level, including one year as the lead assistant at Oregon State and nine years at Clarion University. At both Oregon State and Clarion, Creighton played a significant role in nearly all aspects of the women's basketball program. Additionally, he gained experience working as a staff member at summer camps hosted by Duke, Illinois, and the National Point Guard College.

Prior to his collegiate coaching career, Creighton spent 10 years coaching high school girls' basketball, with seven years at Cranberry and three years at Titusville. As head coach at Cranberry High School, he achieved an impressive overall record of 61-2, secured two PIAA District X titles, made two appearances in the PIAA State Final Four, and won a PIAA State Championship. In 1994, he was honored as the PIAA "Coach of the Year."

A graduate of Cranberry High School and Edinboro University, Coach Creighton currently lives in DuBois and works as a Health and Physical Education teacher for the DuBois Area School District. During the off-season, he actively participates with the Bucktail Council BSA, serving as the summer Camp Director and Co-Director of “The Haunt,” both of which take place at Camp Mountain Run.
