Lady Lions Volleyball drop playoff game

The women's volleyball team came into the playoff round with high hopes, but their run was cut short by a strong performance from Penn State–Shenango. Shenango defeated DuBois 3 games to 0 in a match to advance further in the conference tournament. DuBois entered the playoff game looking to build on a season of steady improvement and team chemistry, but Shenango's momentum proved too much to overcome. They controlled the pace early and maintained their rhythm throughout, taking advantage of miscues and capitalizing on key points to secure the win.

For Penn State DuBois, the playoff loss doesn't overshadow the strides the program made this season. The team showed growth in chemistry, effort, and competitiveness — qualities that will serve them well heading into next year. Freshman Emily Silvis was named Honorable Mention in the conference this year as a hitter for the lady lions.
